加拿大BC(不列颠哥伦比亚)省的毕业证书,又称为Dogwood Diploma, 是颁布给完成了BC高中毕业条件的12年级学生的证明。
The BC Certificate of Graduation, also known as “Dogwood Diploma”, is awarded to 12th student who successfully meet the provincial graduation requirements.
Credits学分
学生需要完成至少80个学分才能毕业。这80个学分包括:
1) 至少16个12年级的学分,包括必修的语言艺术12(Language Arts12)。
2) 至少28个选修课的学分。
3) 52个以下课程的学分:
- 职业生涯教育(Career-Life Education)和职业生涯联系(Career-Life Connections).
- 体育与健康教育10(Physical and Health Education10).
- 科学10 (Science10)与科学11或者12.
- 社会研究10 (Social Studies 10)与社会研究11或者12.
- 数学10 (Math 10)与数学11或者12.
- 语言艺术10 (Language Arts 10)、11和必修的12.
- 艺术教育 (Arts Education)10、11或者12,也可是应用设计、技巧与方法(Applied Design, Skills and Technologies)10、11或者12.
Student required a minimum of 80 credits to graduate from high school. These 80 credits include:
1) At lease 16 credits from Grade 12 level, including a required Language Arts 12.
2) At lease 28 credits must be elective course credits.
3) 52 credits from the following courses:
- Career-Life Education, and Career-Life Connections
- Physical and Health Education 10
- Science 10, and a Science 11or 12
- Social Studies 10, and a Social Studies 11 or 12
- A Math 10, and a Math 11 or 12
- A Language Arts 10, 11 and a required 12
- An Arts Education 10, 11, or 12 and/or an Applied Design, Skills and Technologies 10,11, or 12
Assessment 毕业测试
除学分之外,学生同时需要完成3个新的毕业测试:
- 在2018年开始的10年级算术评估测试(Numeracy Assessment).
- 在2019/2020年开始的10年级素养评估(Literacy Assessment).
- 即将在2020/2021年推出的12年级素养评估(Literacy Assessment).
在2018/2019年毕业的学生不需要参加素养评估。他们需要参加语言艺术12的省考。
从2018/2019年开始,以下的课程会在BC省所有学校推行:职业生涯教育(Career-Life Education)与毕业过度(Graduation Transitions).
2019/2020开始,以下的课程会在BC省所有学校推行:职业生涯教育(Career-Life Education)和职业生涯联系(Career-Life Connections).
学生需要完成以下任意一项才可以毕业:
- 计划10/毕业过度(Planning 10/ Graduation Transitions).
- 计划10/职业生涯联系(Planning 10/Career-Life Connections).
- 职业生涯教育/毕业过度(Career-Life Education/ Graduation Transitions).
- 职业生涯教育/职业生涯联系(Career-Life Education/ Career-Life Connections).
In addition, Student need to complete three new graduation assessments:
- The Grade 10 Numeracy Assessment was introduced in 2018
- The Grade 10 Literacy Assessment was Introduced in 2019/2020
- The Grade 12 Literacy Assessment will be introduced in 2020/2021
Students graduating in the 2018/2019 school year will not write a literacy assessment. They will write the course-based Language Arts 12 provincial exam instead.
For 2018/2019, the two following career education courses will be used in all BC schools: Career Life Education and Graduation Transitions.
Starting from 2019/2020, the two following career education courses will be used in all BC schools: Career Life Education and Career Life Connections.
Students on the BC Graduation Program will be able to meet the career education graduation requirement with any of the following combinations:
- Planning 10/ Graduation Transitions
- Planning 10/ Career Life Connections
- Career Life Education/Graduation Transitions
- Career Life Education/Career Life Connections
